Day 11 - Charmed

We have these little wine glass charms that sit on our wine glasses to help people know which glass is which. Shot with my iPhone and processed with Instagram.

Day 191 - Earring Box

My wife has this little box that holds her diamond earrings. I placed the box on clear plexiglass laid over black foamcore. Lit with continuous tungsten lights camera left, reflected off a white card.

Day 190 - Bee

Shot in late afternoon direct sun at 200mm 2.8, with a 1.4 teleconverter, hand held.

Day 189 - Railing Details

Shot at my friends cabin on Crystal Lake in Enfield, NH. He still had the place decorated for the fourth and had this american flag garland wrapped around his porch railing.

Macro shot with my new 70-200 f2.8, with a 1.4 teleconverter. Shot wide open, hand held under tungsten continuous lights.

Day 73 - Candy Macro

Pulled out my old camera so it wouldn't feel neglected (and while my primary camera's batteries are charging). Shot this small bowl of candy with my 300mm macro lens. Lit with 2 lights on either side of the camera, shot straight down into the bowl.

Day 67 - Under the Sea

Detail of an underwater plant, dried out. Available light shot, through glass. Held the lens right up against the glass and cupped my hands around the lens to eliminate any possible glare.

Day 60 - Screws

More extension tube experimentation. This time with all 3 tubes connected to my 50mm 1.4. Lit with a single tungsten light above and slightly right.

Day 59 - Extension Tubes

Photo of one of my extension tubes, with the other 2 tubes on the camera. Minimum focus distance was about 3 inches with both tubes connected. Hand held with a beauty dish directly overhead, with just the modeling lamp.

Day 58 - Picture in a Picture

These days, this is what I think of when I hear picture in a picture. Its a little noisy, this was taken with my Minolta 5D, looking at the back of my A700. This is a test of a shot I want to do with a model, working out the lighting, framing and the like.
