Day 144 - Its Still Raining

Egad, I feel like the sun is never going to come back out. Okay, today we had some sun, but we also had quite a bit of rain again and the leaves are still wet and covered in drops...

Day 156 - Rose

I don't know the variety of rose this is, but I'm pretty sure its a rose. Shot in open shade on a sunny day.

Day 155 - Pale Blue Flower

I saw this pale blue flower along the path in East Boston, walking around Deer Island. Shot on a sunny day with available light.

Day 150 - Fresh Buds

We actually have an afternoon with some sun, I'd forgotten what it looks like. I placed the sun directly behind the tree branch and shot towards it, giving the nice rim lighting on both sides while keeping the main part of the branch dark and almost in full silhouette.

Day 142 - Yellow

This small bush had a ton of these little yellow flowers, but I was able to isolate one of them by holding the stem off to one side with one hand while I took the photo with my other hand. Shot under a partially overcast sky with natural light, wide open at f2.8.

Day 141 - Little White Flowers

Shot in direct shade, under cover of the tree canopy, wide open at f2.8. This one flower was fully opened while the rest of the bush was still just buds.

day 140 - Iris

Not far from my house, in the woods there is a small field of Irises. Shot under an overcast sky (they all seem to be overcast lately, when is the sun coming back?) wife open at f2.8.

Day 139 - Lady Slipper, past prime

The Lady Slippers are really past prime, but I think they're still very intriguing looking, even on the way out. Shot under an overcast sky wide open.

Day 137 - Little Purple Flowers

I'm so bad with knowing flower names. I have no idea what this little purple flower is called, but I saw this on a walk with my wife and dogs. Shot under an overcast sky wide open at f2.8.

Day 135 - Urban Garden

In the middle of the remains of a demolished building, there is this plant growing up between the fallen bricks. Seems like quite the harsh environment for any sort of plant. Shot in direct sunlight.

Day 131 - Top Down Flowers

I honestly have no idea what type of flower this is, but I liked the arrangement of buds around it and the color was very vibrant. Shot wide open under in open shade.

Day 127 - Blue

This shrub looked like it was dying, but it still had the lovely blue bloom on it. Shot natural light in open shade.

Day 124 - Petunia

Potted petunia hanging in front of my house. Shot wide open at f2.8 on an overcast day.

Day 123 - Shrub Flower

In front my house, we have this shryb with these blooms that I think are a type of Azalea, but I'm honestly not sure. Shot on an overcast day, wide open at f2.8.

Day 118 - Azalea

The Azaleas along my front porch are in full bloom. Here I isolated a single bloom by shooting wide open while the shrub was still in open shade from the house.

Day 113 - Reeds

At sunrise, reeds poking through a peaceful lake, shot with a polarizer to even out any reflections that were on the water.

Day 107 - Dandelion

They may be weeds, but the wispy dandelions can be very cool. This is my front lawn, shot under an overcast sky, wide open.

Day 106 - Lilacs

The lilac bushes along our property line are in full bloom right now and they smell terrific. Shot wide open under an overcast sky.
