Day 159 - The Hero of Canton

In my office, I have a ton of these little figures as decorations. This happens to be a character from the short lived TV series Firefly, named Jayne.

Firefly was one of my all time favorite shows, and I have a set of figures from the show.

Day 186 - Mini Shepherd

Macro shot with my new 70-200 f2.8, with a 1.4 teleconverter. Shot wide open, hand held under tungsten continuous lights.

Day 76 - Toy Vette

Wide open available light of some toy cars, with the focus on the toy Corvette.

Day 58 - Picture in a Picture

These days, this is what I think of when I hear picture in a picture. Its a little noisy, this was taken with my Minolta 5D, looking at the back of my A700. This is a test of a shot I want to do with a model, working out the lighting, framing and the like.

Day 57 - Jayne Cobb

Yeah, I'm a geek. I freely admit it. One of my all time favorite TV shows was Firefly, and for christmas one year, I got these figurines. They make great macro stand ins for people. The lighting concepts are pretty much the same, just on a much smaller scale.

Day 18 - Firiona Vie

The High Elven princess Firiona Vie. She is a character from the online game Everquest that I found laying around the house and thought she'd make an interesting portrait subject. Shot with a single light with 10 degree grid spot and a white fill card.
