Day 119 - Kuma

Normally, when I photograph pets, I get down on their level and shoot them face to face. However, this time I tried shooting him from above and got him to look up at me.

Day 48 - Play

Found this older average shot of our two dogs playing in a field and thought this would look better with selective focus.

Day 43 - Kuma

Our back yard is still full of snow. We shovel a path for the dogs, but of course Kuma has to take the hard way through.

Day 33 - Tasty Snow

Our dogs just love the snow. Kuma loves to bury his face in the snow drifts, and I caught him just after he pulled his face out and was cleaning off his nose.

Week 14 - Zeus and Kuma

Just after I wrapped up a group of three sisters, my pups wanted to get their portrait taken. So, here's Zeus and Kuma in the studio, though they didn't want to get on the bench, they opted to sit in front of it.

Week 1 - Zeus and Kuma at Play

New Years Day, Robyn and I went for a walk in the woods, behind the apple orchard near our house, Sholan Farms. There are tons of trails through the woods back there and the dogs just love it. Here, Zeus has a bead on Kuma as he leaps over a log.

Day 105 - Golden Backlight

I know the highlights are blown out, but I still like this portrait of Kuma. This was shot in our front yard with the sun behind and camera right with no fill.

Day 87 - Vintage Kuma

One thing I don't normally to is play with textures and actions, so I figured I'd experiement a bit with my poor dog Kuma. Applied a texture using one of Michelle Black's actions and tweaked it a bit.

Day 25 - Kuma (2/11/09)

I have 2 dogs. Getting my German Shepherd to sit for the camera is like pulling teeth, however getting my Golden Retriever to pose is like offering money to a congressman. Here's Kuma sitting pretty for me in my kitchen, lit with the overhead light and show wide open at f2.8.
